Profile:
Isabelle has worked at Ritch Durnford since graduating from law school in May 2006. She spent the first two years working in the areas
of insurance defence and general litigation but she now divides her time between labour and employment law, insurance defence, and
general litigation. In all areas, she examines legal issues as well as prepares materials for hearings, arbitrations, settlement
conferences, and trials. Isabelle has represented clients in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court and the Small Claims Court. She has
also co-authored a number of papers.
Isabelle is currently completing her Masters of Laws at Dalhousie Law School as part of the Canadian Institutes for Health Research Training
Program in Health Law and Policy. As part of this program, she has been asked to give a number of presentations. Prior to attending law
school, Isabelle was a research assistant at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa.
In her spare time, Isabelle enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She is also an avid runner and member of the Halifax Running Club.
