Murray J. Ritch, Q.C.
Murray graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1974 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in the same year. Since then, his practice has focused exclusively in the area of civil litigation. Murray represents a number of national and international insurers and is well-known in the Nova Scotia insurance industry. Recognized in the prestigious "Best Lawyers in Canada" guide, Murray is often called upon to lecture and present on civil litigation topics. He is a graduate of the mediation program at Harvard Law School.

William H. Kydd, Q.C.
Bill graduated from Dalhousie law School in 1969 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in the same year. Bill divides his time as a labour arbitrator and the practice of litigation. With many years of experience as an arbitrator Bill has increasingly been retained as a mediator on insurance disputes. Bill is a graduate of the mediation program at Harvard Law School.

W.Mark Penfound, Q.C.
Mark
graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1977. Mark has considerable experience in the areas of real property, wills, and estates and trusts and is a frequent speaker on these topics at seminars and conferences.
Peter Darling, LL.M.
Peter graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1981 and received his LL.M. from McGill University in 1989. He was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1982 and to the Quebec Bar in 1987. Peter has practiced extensively in the area of litigation, with special emphasis on admiralty, commercial, and insurance matters. He has acted in cases involving commercial/professional liability as well as marine insurance, and has considerable experience in matters relating to the transportation and fishing industries. Recognized in the publication "Best Lawyers in Canada", Peter is regularly consulted by clients on contract disputes. Peter is fluent in French.

Philip Chapman, LL.M.
Philip graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1982 and received his LL.M. in 1988. He was called to the Newfoundland Bar in 1982 and the Nova Scotia Bar in 1989. He has strong experience in litigation and has acted in a variety of different claims including automobile, property, product liability, commercial liability, and professional negligence. He also has a background in marine and environmental law. He has been consulted on liability issues dealing with oil spills.

Jean McKenna
Jean graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1983 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1984. Since that time, her practice has focused in the general area of litigation, with specific emphasis on insurance and municipal liability issues. She has extensive trial and mediation experience and is a frequent speaker at conferences and gatherings.

Lisa Richards
Lisa graduated from Dalhousie law School in 1997 and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1998. Since that time, she has acted on various projects and advised clients in many aspects of insurance litigation, corporate and municipal law. Lisa was a recipient of various academic awards while in university. She practices in insurance litigation.

Matthew G. Williams
Matt graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1997 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1998. Matt has experience in a broad range of areas including commercial litigation, maritime, insurance and municipal claims. He was a longtime lecturer at the Department of Sociology/Criminology at Saint Mary's University and is an active volunteer in a number of community organizations.

Margot Ferguson
Margot graduated from Osgoode Hall, Toronto in 1993 and completed her coursework for her LL.M. at Queens University in 1999. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995, the New Brunswick Bar in 1997, and the Nova Scotia Bar in 2001. Margot coauthored a legal reference book called Canadian Nurses and the Law. Margot practices in the area of property and casualty insurance. She is also a mediator and member of ADR Atlantic Institute.

Elissa Hoverd
Elissa graduated from Osgoode Hall, Toronto in 1999. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2001 and the Nova Scotia Bar in 2003. Elissa practices in the area of property and casualty insurance.
Wayne J. Francis
Wayne graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 1999 with an Honours degree in Political Science. He received his LL.B. from UNB in 2002 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2003. Wayne's practice focuses on the areas of Insurance and General Litigation.
